Golden Bears end season after 4OT thriller

No. 5 (East) WVU Tech traveled to No. 4 (West) Indiana University East for a first round game of the River States Conference Championship (RSC) where the two teams battled to four overtimes and the Red Wolves ended up on top 117-115. 

Bryce Radford poured in 41 points to lead all scorers, finishing with eight three’s, six assists and four rebounds.

Andrew Work finished with 26 points to go with five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.

Ashton Parker had 17 points, eight rebounds, five blocks, four assists and a steal.

Keondre’ King tallied a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds while recording four steals, two assists and a block.

Will Hill came off the bench to produce nine points, four boards and one of each — assist, block and steal.

Tech was 43-for-88 (48.9 percent) from the floor and finished with 49 rebounds while IU East shot 40-for-92 (43.5 percent) and pulled down 55 rebounds. 

The Golden Bears finish the season 12-16 overall and with a conference record of 7-10.
