Come December, you won't find a city our size in West Virginia with as many light displays throughout a historic downtown area as the City of Spencer. We take great pride in being the Best Hometown in West Virginia and there is truly no place like home for the holidays. So many of our loved ones have moved away to new places, but at Christmastime, their hearts are here in Spencer.
We celebrate in a big way during this magical time of year. Light displays grace every lamp post, cross over every street, light up every park, wrap around every tree, and if you hold still long enough we might wrap lights around you too!
The annual Christmas Parade is sponsored and directed by the City of Spencer as well. With Santa as the Grand Marshal, come see trains, sleighs, horse drawn carriages, fire trucks, carolers, dancers and maybe a partridge in a pear tree come right down Main Street!
