In an overtime thriller WVU Tech women's basketball recorded a 74-72 win over Columbia International University in its first game of two during The Show. The Golden Bears are enjoying a four-game winning streak and hold a record of 8-2 while the Rams move to 3-4 overall.
Faith N. Silva, a junior, finished 4-for-5 from three-point range towards a game-high 26 points. Silva also recorded eight rebounds, two blocks, two steals and an assist.
Freshman Alva Hedrich posted her second double-double of her collegiate career with 13 points and ten boards to go with two blocks, a steal and an assist.
Junior Valiyah Yazzie and freshman Janaya Berry had nine points each. Yazzie also had seven rebounds and two steals while Berry had two rebounds and and a steal.
Sophomore Ca'Vashia Johnson recorded eight points to round out the top scorers for the Gold and Blue.
Under the boards, junior Breeana Grigsby pulled down nine boards to go with two points, two steals, two assists and a block.
