5.2% of citizens unemployed in Wood County in 2021

Wood County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,986 people out of the 84,678 living in Wood County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Wood County has increased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Wood County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.4%.

Of the 35,903 people who had a job during that time, 110 were employed in the Armed Forces and 35,793 belonged to the civilian labor force.
