On April 14, 2026, Barnhart announced an endorsement from West Virginians for Life, stating “I believe in the three things that matter: Faith, Family and Freedom. I’m proud to announce that West Virginians for Life has endorsed our campaign for the West Virginia State Senate. I’ll always stand tall for the right to life! “
The following day, April 15, 2026, Barnhart discussed recent tax reform efforts alongside other state leaders in Parkersburg. He wrote “Today I joined @MorriseyWV and other leaders in Parkersburg to discuss the tax reform we enacted during the 2026 Session. We cut taxes by $230 million dollars, including a 5% reduction in the PIT.
As your Senator, I’ll always fight to put more money back in your pocket!”
