On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former Parkersburg South High School standout Cayden Mackey’s current college team, the USC Upstate Spartans, lost 10-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Western Carolina Catamounts.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Catamounts this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park against Bowling Green Falcons.
