Washington & Jefferson tops Mount Union in NCAA Division III basketball with Ravenswood’s Matthew Carte

Former Ravenswood High School standout Matthew Carte helped lead his current college team, the Washington & Jefferson Presidents, to an 82-77 victory over the Mount Union Purple Raiders in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 6.

Tipoff at Freeman Center was 3:15 p.m., marking the teams’ first meeting in this tournament.

The Washington & Jefferson Presidents are scheduled to play again on Saturday, March 7, at 5:45 p.m. at the same venue.
